Regarding the flap over those controversial AIDS awareness posters on the CTA: I, too, am outraged. Not, however, about the billboards, but rather that AIDS has already claimed more American lives than the Vietnam War-including 11 people that I, a straight, monogamous person, have known personally.
C`mon folks. Wouldn`t your energies be better served if they were directed towards eliminating this horror? A poster won`t kill you. AIDS can.
