Thomas McGrath, a poet who was widely published in the last four decades, died Thursday in Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was 74.
He died of the effects of injuries suffered in a fall a year ago, his family said.
Mr. McGrath wrote poems about his life and social concerns . His
”Letter to an Imaginary Friend” appeared in parts from 1957 to 1985.
He is survived by his estranged wife; a son; two brothers and a sister.
