Safety-Kleen stock offered: Safety-Kleen Corp., the Elgin provider of parts-cleaner services and related solvent recycling, has begun a public offering of 3 million shares of its common stock at $33.50 a share. Net proceeds will be used to repay bank borrowings, to finance acquisitions and for general corporate purposes.
