Thousands of Palestinian Arabs throw deadly stones at elderly Palestinian (Israeli) Jews praying at the Western Wall, the relic of Jewry`s Holy Temple.
They are driven away, 21 killed by Jewish police and soldiers.
Result: condemnation of Israel by the Holy Five-United States, Soviet Union, England, France and China-plus the other innocents (including Yemen) on the Security Council.
To paraphrase the prophet: ”Who asked you to trample on my Courts-when your hands are full of innocent blood.” Or, as another said: ”Judge not lest you be judged.”
Need I mention Northern Ireland, Tiananmen Square, Biafra, Hindu holy places-the list goes on and on, and what was there at the United Nations?
Silence.
Israel probably over-reacted, but what do you do when the memory of Hitler`s storm troopers, of Russian pogroms (officially sponsored), of Hebron in 1929-and the world`s silence-is still fresh in our mind?
