Occupations: Actor and disc jockey.
Birthday: July 12, 1950.
Birthplace: I was born in Texas and raised in New Orleans.
Current home: Hollywood Hills, Calif.
Marital status: Married to Sally Michelson for three years.
Child: We have a new baby.
Car: A 10-year-old Toyota station wagon. I don`t care about cars, but I`m big on houses. Whenever I have any extra money, I put it in a down payment for one.
Working on: I`m on ”Murphy Brown” and ”Married People,” and I`m a disc jockey on KPWR-FM in Los Angeles.
The last good movie I saw was: ”Postcards from the Edge.” It tells the truth about Hollywood.
Favorite pigout food: Chocolate cake, all I can get my hands on, but I wind up eating chocolate nonfat yogurt sweetened with fruit juice. You have to stay young and fit out here. It`s miserable.
Prized possession: Some land I own in Woodstock, N.Y. I`m half Italian, and it`s a big deal to us to own a piece of property.
Every New Year`s I resolve: To make sure that after working so long and so hard, I retire early and really relax.
Nobody knows I`m: A homebody.
I wish I could stop: Criticizing my work so severely. It takes a lot of the fun out of it.
I`d give anything to meet: Meryl Streep. She`s probably a regular person. The worst part of my job is: There`s a lot of smiling when you don`t feel like it.
If I could change one thing about myself, I would be: More charitable in terms of my time and money.
My most irrational act: I once got married for an hour. We literally broke up on the way home from the church. It took me a year, a brand-new Pinto and $20,000-every cent I had-to get out of it.
Behind my back, my friends say: ”Believe it or not, he`s nice.”
If I`ve learned one thing in life, it`s: When something falls through, something else will come along.
My most humbling experience: My success in Los Angeles, both on the radio and on TV. It`s beyond my wildest dreams.
The one thing everybody has tried but me is: Bungee-cord jumping.
Three words that best describe me: Thoughtful, funny and quiet.
