During the 1988 presidential campaign, George Bush promised us ”a kinder, gentler America.” Apparently as a step in this direction, he signed into law the Americans with Disabilities Act; it guarantees equal opportunity and access to those with disabilities. Now, as a further step, he is about to provide us with a whole new generation that will benefit from it.
