Farewell to `fresh`: Ragu Foods Inc. agreed to drop the word ”fresh”

from labels of its Fresh Italian brand pasta sauces in the latest victory for the Food and Drug Administration`s campaign to enforce labeling rules. Ragu, owned by Unilever NV, instead will use the new name ”Fino Italian” for its line of sauces, according to the FDA. Last week, Procter & Gamble Co. agreed to drop ”fresh” from the Citrus Hill Fresh Choice orange juice label.
