– A story on the approval of riverboat gambling licenses in the July 17 Tribune reported incorrectly that the Illinois Gaming Board extended the time allowed for gambling on each cruise to five hours from four hours. A spokesman for the board said the total time allotted for gambling will remain at four hours, but that gambling now will be permitted to begin a half hour before a boat leaves its dock and a half hour after it returns, with cruises lasting up to three hours.

– A story in the July 17 Tribune reported that the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services could not provide numbers on how many Spanish-speaking workers it employs. DCFS spokesman Ed McManus, however, said the department has 180 bilingual workers on its staff of about 3,200.

– A photo caption in the Business section of the July 14 Tribune incorrectly identified a New York-based magazine that was represented at the Black Expo at McCormick Place. The magazine`s correct name is Class.
