In these times of ethnic identity and strides toward independence, it was a great injustice to list Milla Jovovich`s birthplace (Fast Track, Aug. 11) as ”Kiev, Russia.” Kiev, Soviet Union, yes; but Kiev, Russia?
I feel you owe an apology to a great number of Ukrainians who read your paper.

Beach Bikers
Bill Granger did his usual good stuff in his story on the North Side
(”Common Ground,” Aug. 11). One thing frosted me: the pictures of the bicyclists at Oak Street Beach. I see a lot of those inconsiderate idiots, but I thought bikes on sidewalks were illegal for people over age 12. If so, why no enforcement? Or doesn`t the law apply to the lakeshore?

On the Left
Being a true left-hander, the article ”It`s Not Right!” (June 21)
jumped out at me. At dinner parties, I always inform the hostess that I`m left-handed and I`m placed on the aisle. This is great. Even in courting, I was a left-handed lover. An explanation would take several pages.
