Ghost of a chance: Hmmmm, seems a few towns in the Northwest suburbs are lacking in the ghost department this Halloween. Not enough ghosts, at least, for a full-scale supernatural tour.
The Hanover Park, Streamwood and Bartlett park districts have come to the rescue of dispirited suburban spirit seekers, however, by sponsoring a bus tour from 7 p.m. to midnight Oct. 5 to about 10 supernatural landmarks in Chicago, such as haunted pubs, spooky cemeteries and ”homes inhabited by floating blobs of ectoplasm,” according to the tour advertisement. People can scare themselves silly for a mere $25. Call 708-289-3003 for information.
