NCR plans Soviet venture: NCR Corp., now merged with American Telephone & Telegraph Co., signed an agreement with the Russian republic and the Russian Savings Bank on a $1.5 billion project to modernize the bank`s 40,000 branches. The project would computerize the bank`s communication network and provide it with automatic teller machines.
