I noticed recently that Vice President Quayle was given the title
”garkuwan” on a visit to a Nigerian village, entitling him to be called
”your highness.” Yet Article I, Section 9 of the U.S. Constitution states: ”And no person holding any office . . . shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept . . . a title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince or foreign state.”
Surely, impeachment and treason proceedings cannot be discounted. Perhaps Special Prosecutor Lawrence Walsh could lead a witch hunt, er, an inquiry.
