If you hung onto your `50s glasses, you`ll be happy to hear that those retro rims are among the most fashionable frames today.

But with eyewear taking on a stronger role as fashion accessory-with people changing frames as they would switch shoes-think about picking out another pair to complement different outfits, says Allan Weiner, owner of Spex stores in Chicago.

So what to wear after those cat-eyes? Jewel accents, says Weiner.

”Small is where it`s at,” adds Bernie Winitz, owner of Glasses Ltd. stores. This means smaller ovals, smaller squares, especially in antique silver and gold.
