A 22-year-old Hinckley man was arrested early New Year`s Day on felony charges that he broke into a Warrenville home and beat up its occupants.
Thomas W. Klene was being held Friday in Du Page County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bond on charges of home invasion and aggravated battery.
Police said Klene forced his way into an apartment in the 29W500 block of Country Ridge Drive about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday and began beating two women who lived there.
Klene allegedly also struck a male neighbor who came to the defense of the women and one of the officers who answered the call, police said. Klene is scheduled to appear Jan. 23 in Du Page Circuit Court.
