A 21-year-old South Side man was stabbed to death Saturday night during an argument with his girlfriend in a Chicago Housing Authority complex, police said.
Police were responding to a call at Stateway Gardens, 2940 S. State St., when they found the body of Patrick Sanders, said Wentworth Area detectives.
According to police reports, Sanders had been beating his girlfriend, who picked up a knife and stabbed Sanders. The woman was questioned, but the incident was determined to be self-defense, and she was released, police said.
