A man accused of damaging a former girlfriend`s car was arrested Tuesday night, Elgin police said Wednesday. Thomas S. West, 20, of 1119 Mystic Ct., Carol Stream, was charged with criminal damage to property after he allegedly rammed his car into the back of another car parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Orange Street. The car, which sustained damage to its rear bumper and taillights, belongs to a 26-year-old Elgin woman who was West`s former girlfriend, police said. West also was charged with violating an order of protection obtained by the woman in Kane County Circuit Court, according to police. He is to appear in Kane County Circuit Court Feb. 14.
