In response to the Dec. 24 article concerning Germany`s recognition of Croatia and Slovenia: When has the U.S fought so hard to delay the democratic voices in other nations? It helped Kuwait establish ”democracy.” Ukraine was recognized days after it declared its independence.
Why the hesitancy with Croatia and Slovenia? We have asked President Bush, but no reply has been made. It is a shame that President Bush now criticizes the German foreign policy for the recognition of two nations fighting for democracy.
