WGN-TV is cancelling three religious programs on Sunday mornings. The general manager says ”we could have sold that air time for $750,000 per half- hour per year.” The religious leaders are upset. WGN-TV can turn this situation into an opportunity.

In this one instance, WGN-TV can reject the strict ”where`s the money”

approach of the corporate world. It can take a stand that these shows should continue because doing so would be an ethical course of action.

Reinstating these shows would serve as an example to the corporate world that the addition of a tiny fraction of a percent of revenue should not always overrule what is ethically correct and proper.
