Labor pact for Santa Fe: Members of the United Transportation Union on the Texas lines of Santa Fe Railway ratified a new agreement that will further reduce the size of crews on freight trains and simplify work rules, Schaumburg-based Santa Fe Pacific Inc. said. The agreement, like an earlier pact for several other states, will allow trains to operate with a two-member crew.
