If you think teddy bears are terrific and have an irresistible kind of charm, you`ll find a bevy of such beauties, ranging in size from tiny to tremendous and in every hue from golden honey to ginger brown, at the beautiful fairyland-like ”Bru to Barbie” Doll and Teddy Bear Show, which takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Holiday Inn O`Hare Kennedy, at 5440 N. River Rd., Rosemont.
One hundred dealers from various states will offer antique, vintage and modern dolls and teddies along with wigs, clothing, stands, shoes, stockings, furniture, display domes and other doozies to dress up and display dolls and teddies of all types.
They range from folksy to fancy and are made from every material imaginable. Some are designer dolls and bears, many of which are limited editions that escalate in value.
The show also will feature teddy bear jewelry and dolls made in the images of various celebrities whose likenesses were popular dolls in the 1930s and which included everyone from Shirley Temple to Sonja Henie.
