George Marcucci, 74, former treasurer, general sales manager and director of the Gonnella Baking Co. in Chicago, died Wednesday in Naples, Fla. Mr. Marcucci, who lived in Elmhurst for more than 35 years, retired from Gonnella in 1984. He was president of his senior class at Lane Tech High School, where he was an all-city football player. He also was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Marcucci is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine; four sons, George, Lawrence, Thomas and John; two stepsons, Lawrence and Mark; five stepdaughters, Laurie, Caryn Doherty, Kathy Petersen, Marguerite and Elizabeth; 26 grandchildren; and a sister. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Hursen Funeral Home, 4001 Roosevelt Rd., Hillside. Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Saturday in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur St., Elmhurst.
