Alpine skiing: Eva Twardokens of Santa Cruz, Calif., placed 8th in the Super-G. Top American Diann Roffe of Potsdam, N.Y., fell and did not finish. In the men`s giant slalom, Rob Parisien of Auburn, Maine, was 20th. Chris Puckett of West Ridge, Colo., was 25th.
Cross-country skiing: The U.S.A. team of John Aalberg, Ben Husaby, John Bauer and Luke Bodensteiner finished 12th in the men`s 4-by-10-kilometer relay.
Nordic combined: The U.S.A. team of Joe Holland, Tim Tetreault and Ryan Heackman was 8th in the combination of ski jumping and 3-by-10-kilometer cross-country.
Speedskating: Eric Flaim of Pembroke, Mass., was 16th in the men`s 1,000. Dave Besteman of Madison, Wis., was 20th. Dan Jansen of West Allis, Wis., was 26th.
