Police are warning residents that a telephone solicitor claiming to represent the Metropolitan Alliance of Police Unions is not working on behalf of Woodridge police.
The caller asks for funds to support the village and police programs. Police said the department is financed by the village`s general fund, and officers do not solicit donations over the phone.
