Exercise is normally associated with personal gain, providing a healthier lifestyle for an individual. But when an exercise-related event has a charity- minded purpose, the benefits expand.
Such will be the case Feb. 29 when the Lehmann Sports Club, 2700 N. Lehmann Court, holds the ”AIDS Aerobathon.” The event, scheduled for a 10 a.m. start, benefits the AIDS Alternative Health Project.
”We`ve done events like this before and try to pick important causes with local organizations,” said Dee Dee Diehl, Lehman`s organizer for the event. ”And you don`t even have to be a member of the club to participate.”
Registration for the 2 1/2-hour event, which raises funds both through pledges and a raffle, begins at 9:30 a.m.
