The Waukegan Symphony Orchestra and the Waukegan Concert Choir will perform Beethoven`s Symphony No. 9 (the Choral Symphony) and honor Lisa Chu, a 16-year-old violinist from Libertyville, at an 8 p.m. concert Saturday in Waukegan High School, 2325 Brookside Ave.
A junior at Libertyville High School, Chu was one of two winners of the 12th annual young artists competition at the Jack Benny Center for the Arts in Waukegan. She will play excerpts from Tchaikovsky`s Violin Concerto in D Major at the concert.
