Earl Dean Howard III, 52, who was a marketing consultant in the Chicago area for 22 years, died Tuesday in Evanston Hospital. Mr. Howard worked for many years for Elrick & Lavidge Inc., a marketing firm, and later for Austin Co. He recently operated his own consulting firm. Mr. Howard was a longtime resident of Evanston and recently lived in Marengo. He is survived by three daughters, Stephanie, Heather, and Melissa; his mother; and a brother. Services will be private.
