A 19-year-old man told police that three leather coats valued at about $700 and a compact disc player valued at $625 were stolen Wednesday from his 1991 Pontiac Firebird. The thief smashed a window to gain entry to the vehicle, which was parked in the 0-100 block of North McHenry Road, police said.
