A Prospect Heights man is being held in Cook County Jail after allegedly firing an automatic rifle from his balcony and threatening a police officer, police said. Misael S. Lauriano, 21, of 664 Piper Lane, Apt. 2A, was charged with aggravated assault, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and reckless conduct after the incident early Tuesday. Bond was set at $75,000 Wednesday morning. He was unable to make bond and was transferred to jail.
