Please add my family and me to the list of the many people who are disappointed to see you get rid of the comic strip ”Annie.” Two Sundays in a row you have gotten our hopes up that you were bringing her back, and two Mondays in a row you have disappointed us again.
Annie is wise and funny and always has a moral. It is also one of the few comic strips with an admirable central female character! Apparently you will not run any continuing-story comic strips unless they are completely brainless or written or drawn by a Tribune employee. There should be some room for diversity in a comics section the size of yours. We want Annie!
