Shelby Williams Industries Inc.`s first-quarter net income grew to $620,000, or 7 cents a share, from a loss of $239,000, or 3 cents a share, a year earlier. The Chicago-based maker of contract seating said sales rose to $33.5 million from $32.7 million.
