Students at Mundelein High School would be graded less often next year, but each grade would carry more weight under a plan to switch from a six to a nine-week grading schedule.

”The six-week program really didn`t give teachers time in some newer courses to develop a fair evaluation,” said Principal John Davis.

Before each nine-week report card, teachers would send a written appraisal of the student`s performance to parents.
