Truck agreement: Caterpillar Inc. said Tuesday it has agreed with Zil, a Moscow-based maker of medium trucks, to look into an industrial and marketing arrangement for truck diesel engines and fuel systems. Donald Fites, Caterpillar`s chairman and chief executive, said the companies may be about to build a ”mutually beneficial truck diesel engine business and, together, make a strong contribution to Russia`s transportation system.” Zil produces about 200,000 trucks a year, most powered by gasoline engines.
