Los Angeles authorities arrested a man Monday in the slaying of ”Hogan`s Heroes` ” star Bob Crane, whose body was found in an Arizona apartment 14 years ago.
John Henry Carpenter, 64, was arrested in the Carson area south of downtown, said Sheriff`s Deputy Irma Becerra.
Carpenter, who has been described as a friend of Crane`s, was booked for investigation of murder. An extradition hearing was scheduled for later in the day, the deputy said.
Romley declined to say what the new evidence was, but investigators said they had turned it up while re-investigating the case over the last two years.
