Former assistant village manager Michael Janonis will replace outgoing village manager John Dixon on July 6.
Officials have refused to comment on Dixon`s resignation, but Mayor Gerald Farley said he would release copies of Dixon`s resignation letter and the agreement with Janonis on Friday.
Farley said Janonis is out of town, and he wanted Janonis` signature on the agreement first.
Janonis, currently the assistant village manager in Hoffman Estates, worked for the village from 1983 to 1990, when he left for Hoffman Estates.
Dixon`s resignation and the hiring of Janonis were approved by the Village Board on Tuesday.
