The Swiss Parliament voted this month to reform the country`s social security system to aid divorced women who have raised children alone. The benefits level of many such women is low, a reflection of lower earnings during childbearing years. To provide a boost, parliament approved a permanent monthly bonus as high as $186, to be paid to the women, no matter what age their children are now.
