Income rises: First Colonial Bankshares Corp. expects to report second-quarter net income about 4 to 6 percent higher than the year-earlier period`s $3.5 million, or 35 cents a share, said C. Paul Johnson, chairman and chief executive. Johnson also acknowledged that ”there`ll probably come a day” when directors of the $1.6 billion-asset multi-bank holding company, which is often discussed as a potential acquisition candidate, will ”get an offer they can`t refuse.” But he and the other insiders who hold voting control aren`t actively seeking a buyer, he said.
