Robert Blau`s excellent article on the increasing use of heroin in Chicago (July 23) included comments from Wayne Wiebel, who was identified as director of the AIDS Outreach Intervention Project.
The story unfortunately failed to mention that the project, which reached some 20,000 intravenous drug users last year, is part of the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health.
It is one of scores of UIC community outreach programs that help improve Chicago`s public health, its elementary and secondary schools and its local economy.
