Hilda Lapping, 86, a civic activist and longtime shop owner, died of a heart attack Wednesday in her East Rogers Park home. Mrs. Lapping was the owner and operator of Hilda`s Snack Shop in East Rogers Park from 1952 to 1974. She owned Hilda`s Grocery Store on South Central Park Avenue until 1952. She is survived by three sons, Paul Lapping and Bennett and Harvey Wexler; two sisters; a brother; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were held Thursday.
