A Lisle man was charged Aug. 9 with the theft of cigarettes from an Amoco Oil station, 2350 Ogden Ave., then arrested the next evening at his home and charged with domestic battery, for allegedly hitting a woman with a shoe.

Police said a grand jury handed down an indictment Aug. 21 against Timothy D. Bush, 33, 2300 Beau Monde Ter., on an additional charge of obstruction of justice. Bush allegedly gave officers a phony name and birth date during the theft arrest because Chicago police and the Cook County Sheriff each had issued warrants for his arrest.
