A Milton Township man was charged with battery after he allegedly hit another man in the eye inside a downtown St. Charles tavern, police said.
Bruce E. Bird II, 22, of 1 S 671 Winfield Rd., was arrested Friday while running from the tavern in the 100 block of South First Avenue.
He was released on recognizance and ordered to appear Nov. 19 in Kane County Circuit Court.
