To begin soon: The Chicago Board of Trade and the Pacific Stock Exchange announced that trading of futures and options on the Wilshire Small Cap Index will begin Jan. 11. The previously announced index is the first viable trading instrument allowing investors and traders to participate in the small-capitalization sector with derivatives. The CBOT will trade futures and futures-options contracts on the index, and the Pacific exchange will trade options contracts.
