The constant stories of infants and toddlers being beaten, burned, raped and shaken to death have horrified me even more than the pictures coming out of Somalia. I could never imagine my 2-year-old`s day being filled with anything but smiles, kisses and encouraging words. I agree with Du Page State`s Atty. James Ryan`s Dec. 16 letter-something more must be done to prevent the abuse of these marvelous, fragile human beings.
