A 66-year-old Elgin man was hit on the head and robbed by three youths Monday night outside a liquor store at 325 W. Highland Ave. The victim had cashed his paycheck at Nick’s Liquors and was walking through a parking lot when he was struck with a blunt weapon by one of three suspects, who were all dressed in black. The suspects then removed $240 from the victim’s pocket and fled.
