A Christian sees the cross as a symbol of the trials and tribulations a Christian endures to follow the teachings of Christ.
The residents of Rolling Meadows fought a legal battle to preserve its historical city seal, which contained a church with a cross in front of it. The residents lost. I hope, in this season of hope and peace, Christians are allowed to grieve this loss by displaying an electronically-lit cross on private property without having it misinterpreted or equated to the KKK.
