A 25-year-old Waukegan man was free on a $100,000 personal recognizance bond Monday after he allegedly raped a 21-year-old Fox Lake woman in her apartment over the weekend, police said.
Bobby J. Wilson of 522 Douglas Ave., Waukegan, was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault Saturday after he reportedly attacked an acquaintance at about 4 a.m. in her apartment in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue, said Fox Lake Lt. Edward Gerretson.
Wilson denied raping the woman, Gerretson said. But police said they decided to charge him based on the statements of witnessess who were with both Wilson and the victim in her apartment before the alleged attack, Gerretson said.
