Surely I am not the only Tribune reader who has tired of columnist Paul Greenberg’s tirades against President Clinton. In his latest effort (Op-Ed, March 5), Mr. Greenberg pontificates about human dignity while calling the president “slick,” a “disingenuous bore,” and implicitly, a liar.

President Clinton has launched a serious, intelligent campaign which he believes will fundamentally strengthen this country. The president clearly encourages and even relishes debate on his plans. But facile insults from an embittered columnist do not serve that debate, nor do they add any luster to a national newspaper.
