Robert Mulder Jr., 83, an attorney and avid sailor, died March 29 in his home on Sanibel Island, Fla. For more than 20 years, Mr. Mulder was a personal-injury attorney at Markel Service Co. in Chicago. Later he was a corporate attorney with Continental Insurance Co. and then a licensed administrator at the Whitehall Nursing and Convalescent Home in Chicago, until retiring in 1985. Mr. Mulder, who received a law degree from Loyola University, was an ardent sailor who competed in many yacht races on Lake Michigan, including 10 Chicago-to-Mackinac-Island events. He is survived by two sons, Lee and Robert III; a brother; and a sister. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Stouffer Oak Brook Hotel, 2100 Spring Rd., Oak Brook.
