A Chicago man was charged with retail theft and obstruction of justice Thursday after he allegedly stole some video tapes from a rental store at 216 W. Lake St., police said. Police were called to the store when sensors sounded as James M. McKeone, 40, of 456 W. 44th St., left the store, according to police reports. When police caught McKeone, he allegedly gave them a false name, reports said. A resident later recovered the tapes in the parking lot.
