A 32-year-old Aurora man was charged with possession of a controlled substance after an officer discovered him allegedly using cocaine in an empty parking lot, according to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office. Steve C. Landis, 1009 Allaire Ave., Apt. 2B, was also charged with criminal trespass following his arrest Saturday in a gravel pit parking lot at Seavey and Finley Roads. The sheriff’s office said deputies allegedly found 7.5 grams of the drug in Landis’ car.
