Warren Township High School expects to receive an additional $350,000 in developer-impact donations over the next three years to help offset the cost of students from new subdivisions.
Developers will pay twice the previous surcharge, which is based on a formula that uses the number of bedrooms in each new home, Warren High School officials said. That means the school district will receive about $690,000 from developers over the next three years, said Supt. Pat McMahon.
Enrollment is 1,950 and is expected to exceed 2,300 by the 1996-97 school year, according to business manager Ron Meyer. The high school’s capacity is 2,200. School officials said they will have to decide whether to change schedules, build an addition or rent another site.
